BTS Students Get a Taste of Entrepreneurship
From Tuesday, June 30, to Friday, July 3, 38 first-year BTS students participated in a “Mini-Entreprise” week.
Students from the Jeanne d’Arc school in Gex participated in a “Mini-Entreprise” week organized by Entreprendre pour Apprendre and Pays de Gex Entreprises. This educational program immerses students in a real-world business startup scenario. Its goal is to help them discover the professional world by developing a group project, while strengthening skills such as independence, creativity, teamwork, initiative, and communication. The program encourages students to “learn by doing.” This allowed them to experience the various stages of launching an entrepreneurial project.
During the first three days, the six teams identified issues facing the Pays de Gex region before devising solutions. Each group then structured its project by assigning tasks to different members, just as in a real company. This organizational process helped them understand the importance of complementary skill sets, cooperation, and project management.

The final day took place at the Pays de Gex Entreprises offices and was devoted to preparing for the final presentation. The students finalised their pitch and designed their leaflet and poster to showcase their project before presenting it to a panel of professionals.
Beyond the projects they had devised, this week offered a real insight into entrepreneurship, as they tested their ideas against reality.
Pays de Gex Entreprises congratulates all the students on their commitment, creativity and professionalism, and thanks the Jeanne d’Arc school and Entreprendre pour Apprendre for this collaboration, which helps to bridge the gap between the worlds of education and business.
