On Thursday 23 July, Pays de Gex Entreprises and the Savoie Mont Blanc Angels (SAMBA) association formalised the signing of a partnership agreement. This agreement aims to improve access to funding for innovative start-ups in the Pays de Gex region and to establish a more transparent financial ecosystem.

Savoie Mont Blanc Angels is a network of Business Angels. It brings together 150 local investors and 10 collective investment vehicles. With over 19 million euros invested in the share capital of nearly a hundred supported companies, SAMBA provides financial support and strategic guidance to businesses in the seed capital phase.

This partnership will enable us to support project leaders in preparing their applications, organise targeted meetings and facilitate connections with qualified investors. It complements the support schemes already in place, such as interest-free loans and initiatives led by competitiveness clusters.

For the Pays de Gex, this partnership helps strengthen the local financial hub dedicated to young startups. The region enjoys a competitive advantage thanks to its proximity to CERN and its integration into the Greater Geneva area, which provide it with a wide pool of researchers, mentors, and scientific spinoffs conducive to the development of deep tech projects.
