AIMA Assistance for Artisans
AIMA assistance, which stands for Assistance for the Establishment or Modernization of Artisan Workshops, was established in 2024 by the Ministry of Culture. It was renewed in 2026 to continue supporting artisans in developing their businesses and improving their working conditions.
This grant helps fund the purchase of equipment or the modernization of a workshop. It is primarily intended for small and very small businesses, as well as artisans practicing an artistic craft, particularly those with rare skills that are important to preserve.
AIMA is granted following a review of the application by the Ministry of Culture, with input from experts. Certain rules must be followed: it cannot be combined with other similar grants, and an artisan who has already received this grant in the past two years is not eligible to apply in 2026.

This program is intended for artisans with annual revenue between €10,000 and €150,000 who employ fewer than 10 people.
Applications must be submitted by April 29. AIMA represents a great opportunity for artisans who wish to invest in their business, modernize their workshop, and keep these crafts alive.
